Natural Biggest Loser Challenge
I have been doing good with exercising and eating mindfully. My DD4 is officially my exercise coach. After she demanded that I perform 20 jumping jacks, because "you said you wanted to loose weight." I knew she meant business. We have Danced, Danced, Revolutioned, jumped rope, walked, circuit training, and jumped roping. I am enjoying the process and don't feel deprived of anything. I will post my official pre pictures and stats soon.
This is all about getting healthy. Healthy hair, healthy body, healthy mind.

two-strand twist updo: modest and sexy
I am enjoying my two-strand twist protective style so much that i think I am going to stick with it. Remember when you would see women that always wore their hair up? Only for special occasions, ie: date night, party, weddings..., would one see their her down. Well, I want to be one one those women. I think it's both modest and sexy. So it's decided my new signature style: two-strand twist updo by day, down by night. Growl :)
What about you? Do you think the updo is both modest and sexy? What's your signature style?

Earrings, twist-outs, $45 Hula Hoops, & Grand Central Market
So I am almost feeling naked without my earrings. I am enjoying the world of accessories. Can't wait to slowly add to my collection. But I Do Not want to get sagging holes. How can I prevent this?
Hair Challenge: I am enjoying my twistout this week.
Hairtime this weekend: pre-poo, poo, condition, detangle, and dc. Twist.
While downtown ice skating we decided to have lunch at Grand Central Market. While there I noticed a herbal medicine store and decided to take a look. Oh my, they had so many things I have seen on youtube and wanted to try. Bentonite, veg. glycerin, coconut oil, EO's, Castor oil. I can't wait to go back the first thing I want to try is the bentonite treatment!
Natural Biggest Loser Challenge: Finally, got my scale. Official weight 190lbs. That is about 10 less than my usual, yay! So now my gaol weight is 150 lbs. 40 lbs is doable. I just need to exercise and eat healthy! I am doing this guys. If I could loose my muffin-top I would be Hott! Yes, Hott with two t's. So that is the ultimate goal. Say good bye to my fat belly!
Sad note: I borrowed my neighbors $45 hula hoop and broke it. How? I do not know exactly. If you ask me it was cheaply made. But that is neither here nor there. I must replace it. It's my fault. To look on the positive side: Now, I'll have a 4lb hula hoop to whip around my waist. That thing would have bruised me if I was light-skinned. I was in pain for a few days.
What's you favorite accessory of the moment? So how will you be earring you hair next week? Trying any new exercises?

It's all about choice
So part of my New Years resolution was to join the Weight Loss Challenge http://curlscoilsandkinks.com/?p=2696 Well I haven't officially registered or submitted any pics but I have started the challenge. I exercised three times this week for 15 minutes and went on a couple of walks My method of exercise currently: Dance, Dance, Revolution (DDR) on the PlayStation. My beloved arcade game. It makes exercise fun, I don't even realize that I am exercising until I feel that I am working up a sweat. Also, I have been more aware of my caloric intake. I have been trying to make small choices that will pay off big. So, today, I tried Ginger Ale and enjoyed it. On Tuesday, after visiting the museum, I chose Quizno's instead of chick-fil-a. Now I order the mini-meal instead of the full sized meal. Did you know that a quarter-pounder with cheese is 510 calories? Wow! I put in the request to have my scale returned to its owner and will be officially joining the group soon.

2011 Healthy Hair CAre Challenge Week 1
This is the first week of the 2011 Healthy Hair Care Challenge. I have done some shopping after looking at some videos on YouTube. Saturday night, mixed Hask Placenta with OO for hot oil treatment, left on overnight. Shampooed with Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo. Condition with Suave Humectant and detangle. I did notice about 3/4 less hair loss in my detangeling brush, a huge positive. Next, I applied Shea butter and put into Bantu knots. My thinking was that the Bantu knots would stretch the hair, which it did. Monday night I applied my spritz (water, Carrot and Tea Tree Oil, and glycerin), ORS Olive Oil Smooth n Hold to two strand twist the back. For the front, on Tuesday morning, I used the spritz, ORS, and a Pomade for the edges to flat twist. Sealed everything with more oil.
I am pleased with the finished product. I may wear it twisted for a week then twist out for a week.
